Tee Ball

Tee Ball is for children who are league age 5 and 6 and provides an introduction to organized team play. Children are instructed on the fundamentals: hitting, throwing, catching, running and fielding – with a lot coaching and parent support in a fun game environment. Players start the season by batting off a stationary tee, but may have the opportunity to be pitched to by the coach before the end of the season. Tee Ball games consist of 3 or 4 innings with each player getting a turn at bat. Game length will be no more than 90 minutes.  During a game, there are SAFE’s and OUT’s on bases, but no scores are kept. Coaches are allowed on the field to assist the players with hitting and fielding.  Tee Ball is suitable for both aspiring baseball and softball players.  If appropriate, 6-year-old players who demonstrate the required level of skill and maturity may be assessed for Mini Minors.  It is also possible for 7-year-old players to participate in T-Ball when appropriate.

To register for baseball with Beacon Hill Baseball and Softball Association your child must reside or go to school in our catchment area.

Parent involvement

Support from our volunteers (you!!) elevates the players experience —the more the merrier! Please indicate on your registration how you would like to help out!

A clinic for coaches will be offered prior to the beginning of the Spring 2023 season. Don’t be intimidated, you can do it!

Friend requests

We are pleased to consider friend requests on teams; however, this is limited to one friend request per player – and both registrants must input the same request (each other) and at the same level of programming. Priority is given to balancing our teams.

Our registration form provides a field for you to make your request.

All play happens within Beacon Hill, so rest assured that friends will have the opportunity to play and see each other with regularity!

“Playing up” to Mini Minors

All players must register according to their birthday. If you feel your player would be better suited playing in a higher level, please send an email to registrar@beaconhillball.com including your player’s name, age, and your request. Decisions around playing up are multifactorial, including skill, safety, emotional maturity, roster space, etc. The decisions will be made by our coaches.
