Notes:

Friend Requests: In Early Development registration, indicate any friend request on the registration form. The friend request must be received from both players and is limited to one per player. We recognize the importance of our social and support networks and encourage all of our players to view Beacon Hill as a space where ultimately, we are all friends but may not have met yet!

Assessments: All Minors and Majors baseball players will be assessed prior to rostering. This is useful to balance our teams and ensure the most fun and safety possible. Assessments are expected to be scheduled for March 3, 2023.

Division Registration: All players must register according to their birthday. If you feel your player would be better suited playing in a higher level, please send me an email to registrar@beaconhillball.com including your players name, age, and your request. Decisions around playing up are multifactorial, including skill, safety, emotional maturity, roster space, etc. The decisions will be made by our coaches.

First Year Minors: For our players who are moving up to the big field for the first time this spring, we are so excited to have you and also recognize that this can be a big leap! In early spring, we plan to have a couple training sessions for these rookies so they can ask questions, get some fundamental pointers and settle in faster than ever before. Email Adrienne (registrar@beaconhillball.com) if you want to be certain you are on this list!

Umpire Training: To further develop our Majors players, all of our Majors players will participate in an Umpire Training Session this spring.

Coaching Support: Are you interested in coaching but slightly uncertain of what it would entail? We run a coaches training pre season and are also always available to connect and discuss what would be expected. As an entirely volunteer run organization, we rely on your support!

Financial Sponsorship: If you would like to join our incredible individuals and businesses that help support us, please reach out!

See you soon,

Adrienne Carter, Registrar

Pemberton Park Celebration – April 2

Since Beacon Hill joined Softball BC in 2019, our volunteers have been working with the City of Victoria to advocate for improvements to Pemberton Park to make it into a proper, regulation softball diamond.

Over the past many months, Parks staff have been installing a new skinned infield which will bring the diamond into alignment with softball field regulation specifications. This work will be completed by April 1st, just in time for the start of the new season!

To thank our volunteers and the City of Victoria, and to celebrate this new field and our growing “Beacon Hill Glory” softball program, please join us at the park at 11:00 AM on Saturday April 2 for a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by the largest ever dragon race and some refreshments!

Then, stick around to see our U17 A and B teams go head-to-head in an exhibition game!

Wear your Beacon Hill colors!
