Junior T-Ball (ages 3-4) and T-Ball (ages 4-5) provide an introduction to organized team play. Children are instructed on the fundamentals: hitting, throwing, catching, running and fielding – with a lot coaching and parent support in a fun game environment. Players start the season by batting off a stationary tee, but may have the opportunity to be pitched to by the coach before the end of the season.
Junior T-Ball (replaces Blastball) will have two teams sharing the field for each 60 minute time slot.
- The first 40 minutes will be stations and activities that support fundamental movement skills and team work.
- Each session will end with an inning of T-Ball.
- Parents are expected to assist on-field during every session!
- A foam bat is used.
T-Ball games consist of 3 or 4 innings with each player getting a turn at bat. Game length will be no more than 90 minutes. During a game, there are SAFE’s and OUT’s on bases, but no scores are kept. Coaches are allowed on the field to assist the players with hitting and fielding. T-Ball is suitable for both aspiring baseball and softball players. If appropriate, 5-year-old players who demonstrate the required level of skill and maturity may be assessed for Junior Rookies. It is also possible for 6-year-old players to participate in T-Ball when appropriate.

Parent Involvement
Please plan to help out with your child’s team as a coach, manager and/or volunteer. A clinic for coaches, managers, and on-field volunteers will be offered prior to and during the beginning of the season.
All parents are expected to volunteer unless they have selected the opt-out fee at registration.
Friend Requests
We are pleased to consider friend requests on teams; however, this is limited to one friend request per player – and both registrants must input the same request (each other) and at the same level of programming. Priority is given to balancing our teams.
Our registration form provides a field for you to make your request.
All play happens within Beacon Hill, so rest assured that friends will have the opportunity to play and see each other with regularity!
